To get rid of the cutout/VC icon in Roblox, the most common fix is to turn off voice chat in the in-game settings or disconnect VC while you’re in a Roblox experience. If you’re on mobile, you can also block Roblox’s microphone permission in your phone settings, which removes voice chat access entirely.

What to try

  1. Open a Roblox game that supports voice chat.
  2. Open the Roblox menu.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Find Voice Chat and switch it from Connected to Disconnected.

If it still shows up

  • On iPhone, go to Settings > Roblox > Microphone and turn it off.
  • On Android, check the app permissions and disable microphone access for Roblox if available.
  • If the icon is blocking buttons in a game, some players report that it’s tied to the newer UI and may only disappear after a game update or by using third-party PC tweaks.

Important note

If by “cutouts” you mean the little VC badge/overlay , Roblox may not let you fully remove it in every game yet, because some of it is controlled by the game’s current interface.
