To message everyone in a Discord server, use @everyone in a channel where you have permission to do so. Type @everyone plus your message, then send it; everyone who can see that channel may get pinged.

How it works

  • Open the text channel where you want the announcement.
  • Type @everyone at the start of your message.
  • Add your announcement and send it.
  • Discord will notify members who have access to that channel, but only if your role/server permissions allow it.

Important limits

  • You usually need permission to mention @everyone.
  • It is not the same as DMing every member.
  • If you want to avoid bothering people, use a dedicated announcements channel instead.

If you mean DMs

Sending direct messages to every member is a different process and is often blocked by privacy settings, so many members may not receive them.

Best practice

For a server-wide notice, @everyone is the normal and safest method. For repeated updates, set up an announcements channel so people can opt in by following it.
