To open the Print option on a Windows PC, use Ctrl + P in most apps, or go to File > Print if the app has a menu. In Windows settings, you can also open printer management through Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, then select your printer and open the print queue if needed.

Quick steps

  1. Open the document, page, or image you want to print.
  2. Press Ctrl + P.
  3. Choose your printer and adjust settings like copies, orientation, or page range.
  4. Click Print.

If printing is blocked after shutdown

If the printer or print queue is stuck after shutdown, open Services , find Print Spooler , and restart it. If needed, set it to start automatically so printing works after reboot.

For browser printing

In Microsoft Edge, the print option is available from the browser menu or with Ctrl + P , and you can preview before sending the page to the printer.

TL;DR: Press Ctrl + P to open Print, or use File > Print. If printing fails after shutdown, restart Print Spooler.
