If you mean WhatsApp status or message read receipts , you generally can’t remove a view after it’s already been recorded. The practical fix is to turn off Read Receipts in WhatsApp settings so future views don’t show up, but that also stops you from seeing who viewed your status.

For regular WhatsApp messages, turning off read receipts prevents the blue ticks from appearing for future messages, but it does not erase a read status that has already been sent. WhatsApp’s help page also notes that read receipts apply to status views, so disabling them affects both.

If your goal is to hide that you viewed someone’s status, the only built-in option is to disable read receipts before viewing it. Once your view has been registered, there isn’t a normal in-app way to undo it.
