To show high-impact news on FX Replay, open your session and use the news/economic calendar panel, then filter the impact level to high only so the red/high-impact events are the only ones displayed. You can also choose whether to view past or future events, and in some views you can show those news markers directly on the chart.

Steps

  1. Open FX Replay and load your trading session.
  1. Click the Economic Calendar or News option in the top or side panel.
  1. Select the country or currency news you want to follow, such as the United States.
  1. Set the impact filter to high and turn off medium/low if you only want major releases.
  1. If needed, enable news on the chart so the events appear at the exact time they hit.

Quick note

Some walkthroughs show the setting in the right-side news panel, while others show it inside the chart/session view, but the core idea is the same: open news, choose the country, and filter to high impact only.

Practical use

If you are backtesting a strategy around volatility spikes, high-impact news lets you see how price reacted during major releases instead of guessing from the candle action alone. That makes it easier to test whether your entries should be avoided, tightened, or traded around major announcements.

A simple way to think about it: news filter on, country selected, impact set to high, then chart markers enabled.
