Quick Scoop

Roblox usually keeps putting you back in the same server because it’s either reusing the same session, trying to place you with a friend, or there are just very few open servers available. The fastest fix is to open the game’s Servers list and manually join a different public server instead of using the main Play button.

What to try

  1. Open the game page and scroll to Servers.
  2. Pick a different public server with a different player count.
  3. If available, use an option like exclude full servers or keep scrolling until you find a different one.

Why it happens

  • A friend may be in that server, and Roblox can prioritize joining their session if it isn’t full.
  • Some games just don’t have many active servers, so Roblox reuses the same one more often.
  • Roblox can also glitch after a disconnect and send you back to the same server as if you reconnected.

Settings to check

If the issue is related to joins through your profile or friends, change your Roblox privacy setting for who can join you in experiences to No one. That stops people from joining your session, and it can also help rule out auto- join behavior tied to your account settings.

Simple workaround

A quick real-world workaround is to leave the game, wait a few seconds, then join through the server list rather than tapping Play again. If it still happens, blocking the person you keep landing near can sometimes force a different server on rejoin.

TL;DR

Use the Servers tab and join a different public server manually, because Roblox often reuses the same one due to friends, low server counts, or a reconnect glitch.
