Canon’s subscription plans let you check usage from your Canon account or the printer’s own usage stats, depending on the model. For PIXMA Print Plan, Canon says you can review your print usage and billing in the subscription hub, and the printer also monitors usage and ink levels automatically.

How to track usage

  • Sign in to your Canon subscription account and open the plan dashboard to view print usage and billing details.
  • On supported printers, open the printer’s information or usage screen to see total sheets used.
  • For some Canon models, the software can show ink and paper consumed, including the number of A4 sheets printed.

What “paper usage” means

Canon’s usage screens may show either the total number of sheets printed or the total print area consumed, depending on the model and software. On higher- end Canon PRO models, the meter reading can be shown as total print area, which is described as lifetime paper usage in square feet.

Quick steps

  1. Check your Canon subscription account for usage totals.
  1. On the printer, go to Information or Usage Stats.
  1. Look for items like Total sheets used or Total print area.
  1. If you use Canon desktop software, open the Ink and Paper Consumed view for a detailed breakdown.

Notes

If your exact Canon model differs, the menu names may change a little, but the idea is the same: account dashboard for subscription billing, printer menu or software for paper usage.
