To turn on cheats in Minecraft Bedrock, open your world’s Settings , go to Game or World Options , scroll to Cheats , and switch Activate Cheats on. If Minecraft shows a warning, confirm it to continue, and note that achievements for that world will be disabled.

Steps

  1. Open Minecraft Bedrock and select your world.
  1. Tap the pencil/edit icon for an existing world, or set cheats while creating a new world.
  1. Go to Settings or Game Settings.
  1. Scroll down to Cheats and turn Activate Cheats on.
  1. Accept the warning if prompted.

What changes

Once cheats are on, you can use commands like changing game mode, teleporting, giving items, or toggling world rules such as keep inventory. Achievements won’t be available in that world after cheats are enabled.

Mobile, console, and PC

The menu path is basically the same on Android, iPhone, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and Windows: open the world settings and enable cheats from the cheats section. The exact button labels may vary a little by device, but the option is always in the world settings.

Example command

After cheats are on, you can open chat and try a command like /gamemode creative to switch modes.
