Carmelo Anthony went to Syracuse University for college, where he played one season for the Syracuse Orange during the 2002–03 NCAA basketball season.

He was a freshman there and led Syracuse to its first NCAA men’s basketball national championship in 2003, earning Most Outstanding Player honors in the Final Four before declaring for the 2003 NBA Draft.
