what is it called in tennis when a player serves and hits the top of the net cord and ball goes over the net?
It’s called a let. In tennis, if a serve clips the net cord and still lands in the correct service box, the serve is replayed and doesn’t count.
If the serve hits the net and doesn’t land in the right service box, it’s a fault instead.
