Your Skype ID is the Skype Name tied to your account, and it’s usually a unique string like live:... or your Microsoft account email. You can find it in Skype by opening your profile picture/avatar and selecting Skype profile ; the ID appears under Skype name.

Quick check

  • On desktop or mobile, tap/click your profile picture.
  • Open Skype profile.
  • Look for Skype name under the profile details.

Important note

Your display name is not the same as your Skype ID, and the Skype ID generally can’t be changed once created.
