Richard Simmons’ death was ruled an accident , caused by complications from a recent fall, with heart disease listed as a contributing condition.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said the cause of death was “sequelae of blunt traumatic injuries,” and the report noted arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease as a contributing factor.
