In the current web version of Cookie Clicker, you unlock the main cheat/dev interface (called Open Sesame) by changing your bakery’s name so it ends with the word saysopensesame, all lowercase and with no spaces.

How to use the cheat name

  1. Click on your bakery name at the top of the screen.
  1. Rename it to anything you like, but make sure it ends with saysopensesame (for example: My Bakery saysopensesame).
  1. Confirm the name change; a small green cookie icon/dev tools indicator should appear if it worked.
  1. Click that icon to open the Open Sesame cheat menu and use the various buttons and debug options.

Extra note

There are also console-based cheats you can run through the browser’s developer console (like Game.OpenSesame()), but for most players, using the saysopensesame name trick is the simplest and fastest way to start cheating.
