Open Discord and go to User Settings from the gear icon at the bottom left, then scroll to Streamer Mode under App Settings and turn off Automatically enable/disable Streamer Mode. If you want to fully turn it off, also toggle off Enable Streamer Mode itself.

What to change

  • Enable Streamer Mode : turns the feature on or off manually.
  • Automatically enable/disable Streamer Mode : stops Discord from switching it on when it detects OBS or XSplit.

Important note

If you’re using the Discord desktop app on Windows , this setting is available there; some sources note the browser version does not offer the same automatic toggle.

  1. Open Discord.
  2. Click the gear icon next to your name.
  3. Select Streamer Mode.
  4. Turn off Automatically enable/disable.
  5. Turn off Enable Streamer Mode if you want it completely disabled.
