The Wimbledon public ballot is Wimbledon’s official ticket lottery for the Championships, created to give the public a fair chance at getting seats because demand is so high. It has been run since 1924, and entering gives you a place in the random draw, not a guaranteed ticket.

How it works

  • You register with a free myWIMBLEDON account.
  • You submit one application per household, email address, and account.
  • If selected, you’re contacted later by email and given the chance to buy the tickets offered.

What to know

  • There is no advantage to applying earlier within the application window.
  • The ballot is oversubscribed every year, so odds are limited.
  • It covers many show-court tickets, including Centre Court and the main numbered courts.

Quick note

If you want, I can also explain how to enter , when it opens , or how it differs from the Wimbledon queue.
