To open chat in Roblox, press the / key on your keyboard, then type your message and hit Enter to send it. Roblox’s help page says you can also tap the chat icon at the top-left if you’re on a device with touch or a visible chat button.

Quick note

  • On many keyboards, / is the same key as Shift + 7 or the key next to Right Shift , depending on your layout.
  • In some experiences, the chat key can vary or be disabled by the developer, so the chat bar or icon may be the fallback option.

If / does not work, try clicking the chat box in the top-left of the game screen.
