The Eden Project first opened fully to the public on 17 March 2001 in Cornwall, England.

A small extra detail: the initial visitor centre opened earlier, in May 2000, but the full Eden Project site with its famous Biomes officially opened its doors on 17 March 2001, which is the date most sources give as its first proper opening to visitors.
