The original British football Home Internationals (the British Home Championship between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) ended with the 1983–84 season, with the final matches played in May 1984.

Northern Ireland were crowned champions in that last edition, after all four teams finished level on points and the title was decided on goal difference.
