The Regional Pensioner Travel Card in Western Australia is usually posted automatically in July each year , and it can take up to four weeks to be processed and sent after the card is issued or reissued. For new applications, the WA Government says processing and posting can also take up to four weeks.

Timing

If you already have the card, expect the annual reissue to arrive after July starts.

If you’ve just applied, allow about 4 weeks from submission for it to reach you by post.

Important dates

Applications for a card for that financial year are normally submitted by 15 May ; applications after that are held until after 30 June.

The card is linked to eligibility for regional pensioners, so the exact arrival time can vary if the application needs extra checking.

What to do

  • Check that your postal address is up to date.
  • If it’s been more than four weeks, contact the card information line on 1300 666 609.

If you mean a different WA pension fuel card, such as a seniors fuel discount rather than the Regional Pensioner Travel Card, say which one and I’ll narrow it down.
