The FA Cup semi-finals are played at Wembley Stadium in London.

Quick scoop

Since 2008, both semi-finals have been hosted at Wembley rather than at neutral grounds around the country. Before that, venues such as Villa Park, Old Trafford, and Hillsborough were commonly used.

Why Wembley?

The move was made after the new Wembley opened, and the FA also wanted to use the stadium’s large 90,000 capacity and help recover the cost of rebuilding it. Some fans have criticised the choice when non-London clubs are involved, mainly because of the travel burden.
