Seychelles is an island country in the western Indian Ocean, off the east coast of Africa, northeast of Madagascar and roughly 1,600 km east of Kenya’s coastline. It is an archipelago of about 115–155 islands (depending on how tiny islets are counted) spread across the Somali Sea region of the Indian Ocean.
