Scottie Scheffler went to the University of Texas at Austin, where he played college golf for the Texas Longhorns and earned a finance degree from the McCombs School of Business.

He competed for Texas from about 2014–2018, helping the team win multiple Big 12 championships and establishing himself as one of the top amateur golfers before turning professional.
