You’re probably looking for Saved items / Later in Slack, not a “save thread” button. In Slack, saved messages and files live in Later , and on desktop you can open it from the left sidebar; on mobile, it’s under Home > Later.

How to find it

  • Desktop: click Later in the left sidebar.
  • Mobile: tap Home , then Later.
  • Your saved items are organized into tabs like In progress , Archived , and Completed.

How to save something

  • Hover over a message and click the save icon.
  • On mobile, tap the message and tap the save icon.

  • Slack threads are a separate feature from saved items. To view threads you’re part of, go to Home > Threads.
