where is canouan island

Canouan Island is a small island in the Grenadines, part of the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean Sea. It lies roughly 25 miles (about 40 km) south of the main island of St. Vincent and between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
It’s only about 3.5 miles long and 1.25 miles wide, with its main village and ferry/boat wharf at Charlestown on the western side. The island is known for luxury resorts (including a Mandarin Oriental property), white‑sand beaches, and one of the longest barrier reefs in the Caribbean along its windward (Atlantic) coast.
