“Doc Martin” is filmed in and around the real-life fishing village of Port Isaac in north Cornwall, England, which stands in for the fictional village of Portwenn.

Most of the exterior village scenes are shot on location in Port Isaac and nearby spots along the Cornish coast, while many interior scenes are filmed in a converted barn and local properties in the same area. Fern Cottage in Port Isaac is used as Doc Martin’s house and surgery, making it one of the most recognisable locations from the series.
