The Files app is usually on your iPhone Home Screen as a blue folder icon, and if you don’t see it, swipe down in the middle of the Home Screen and search for “Files.”

Where to look

  • Home Screen, as a blue folder icon.
  • App Library, if it was moved off the Home Screen.
  • Spotlight Search by swiping down from the middle of the screen and typing “Files.”

If it seems missing

  • Check the App Library and add it back to the Home Screen.
  • Make sure Home Screen pages are not hidden.
  • If needed, reset the Home Screen layout to restore default app placement.

Inside Files

  • Tap Browse to see locations like On My iPhone , iCloud Drive , and connected storage or cloud services.
  • Use the search field in Files to find a specific file name.

A quick example: open the Home Screen, swipe down, type “Files,” then tap the blue folder result.
