The mute button on the BlackBerry 8520 is on the top of the phone, usually the top-right area when you’re looking at the screen. It’s part of the top control strip, not a separate side key.

How to use it

  • During a call, press the top mute key once to mute.
  • Press it again to turn mute off.

Look for a small top button near the music/play controls; on many 8520 references, the mute function is described as being on the top edge, around the center or right side depending on how the phone is held.
