The main headquarters of the United Nations is in New York City , in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Midtown Manhattan, on the east side of Manhattan along the East River, between 42nd Street and 48th Street on First Avenue.

There are also major UN offices in Geneva (Switzerland), Vienna (Austria), and Nairobi (Kenya), but when people ask “where is United Nations,” they almost always mean the New York headquarters.
