Vancouver is a major coastal city in southwestern British Columbia, in western Canada, on the Pacific Ocean near the U.S. border with Washington state. It sits between Burrard Inlet to the north and the Fraser River delta to the south, with Vancouver Island lying offshore across the Strait of Georgia.

There is also a smaller Vancouver in the United States: a city in southwestern Washington state, just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon.
