You can buy a fishing rod in Lumbridge Fishing Supplies , just north of Lumbridge Castle. It’s the shop run by Hank, and it stocks fishing gear like rods and bait.

  • Head north from Lumbridge Castle to find the shop.
  • If you don’t want to travel, another common option is Gerrant’s Fishy Business in Port Sarim , west of Lumbridge.

What to buy

  • Fishing rod for regular fishing.
  • Bait if you plan to fish with the rod.
  • If you need fly fishing gear later, that shop route also works for a fly fishing rod.

Quick note

  • In OSRS, Lumbridge does have a fishing-supplies shop, so you do not need to go all the way to Port Sarim unless you want to.
