Get double jump in Hollow Knight by finding the Monarch Wings in the Ancient Basin after defeating the Broken Vessel.

Where to go

  • Start from King’s Station in the City of Tears.
  • Head left and down into the Ancient Basin.
  • From there, make your way to the area where the Broken Vessel boss is fought.

What you need

  • You’ll need the Crystal Heart ability to reach the path cleanly.
  • Some guides also note you can use the lantern or Desolate Dive to reach Crystal Heart first if you do not already have it.

After the boss

  • Defeat Broken Vessel.
  • Go past the fight area and pick up the glowing item to obtain the Monarch Wings , which gives you double jump.
