“Everybody Loves Raymond” was primarily filmed on soundstages at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California, with only the exterior house shots taken on location in Long Island, New York.

Main Filming Location

Most of the series was shot in front of a live studio audience on sets built at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California. Interior scenes of Ray and Debra’s home, Frank and Marie’s house, and other recurring locations were all studio sets rather than real houses.

Where The Barone House Is

The show is set in the Long Island town of Lynbrook, but the famous exterior of Ray Barone’s house is actually a real home in Merrick, in Nassau County, New York. The exterior used for Frank and Marie’s house is literally across the street from that Merrick home, matching the running gag that Ray’s parents live right opposite him.

Special Location: The Italy Episodes

For the Italy storyline, production went on location to the lakeside town of Anguillara Sabazia near Lake Bracciano, not far from Rome. These episodes blended on‑site Italian exteriors with some studio work but are notable as one of the few times the series left its usual Burbank soundstage world.
