In the Trial of Seven at Ashford Meadow (from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), three of Dunk’s knights die in the combat.

Those knights are:

  • Ser Humfrey Beesbury – cut down early in the fighting by Ser Donnel of Duskendale, dying on the field.
  • Ser Humfrey Hardyng – suffers a devastating leg injury when his horse goes down and later dies of his wounds in the maester’s care.
  • Prince Baelor “Breakspear” Targaryen – struck in the head by his brother Maekar’s mace; he seems all right at first, but the blow has crushed his skull, and he dies afterward from the injury.

All three deaths are on Dunk’s side; none of Aerion’s champions are killed in the story’s version of the Trial of Seven.
