Phones that do not support iOS 26

These models were supported on earlier iOS versions (like iOS 18) but are dropped for iOS 26.

  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XR

If you’re on one of these, you’d need to upgrade to at least an iPhone 11 or SE (2nd gen) to get iOS 26.

Example: how to quickly check your phone

  • If your iPhone is 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, or SE (2020 or 2022), you’re good for iOS 26.
  • If it’s an XS / XS Max / XR or older (X, 8, 7, etc.), it won’t get iOS 26.
