The selected educators who act as coaches and mentors of practice teachers (PTs) in their teaching internship program at the partner or laboratory school of a Teacher Education Institution (TEI) are the cooperating teachers.

These cooperating teachers are the basic education teachers in the partner or laboratory school who guide, supervise, and mentor the interns during their classroom immersion.
