who designed our national flag
India’s national flag (the Tiranga) was designed by Pingali Venkayya, a freedom fighter and scholar from Andhra Pradesh. He first presented his flag concept to Mahatma Gandhi in 1921, and that design later evolved—through colour and symbol changes—into the tricolour with the Ashoka Chakra that was officially adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 22 July 1947.
