What it means

A 100 percentile score does not mean 100 out of 100 marks. It means the student performed at the very top relative to everyone else in that session, which is why the final number of such scorers can change from year to year.

State pattern

The latest list shows Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh among the strongest contributors, while other toppers came from Delhi, Bihar, Odisha, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Telangana. That makes the 100-percentile club a very small, highly competitive group in that session.
