The second man to walk on the Moon was astronaut Buzz Aldrin, during the Apollo 11 mission in July 1969, following Neil Armstrong onto the lunar surface.

Armstrong stepped out first from the lunar module Eagle, and about 19 minutes later Aldrin joined him, becoming the second human to set foot on the Moon.

They spent roughly two and a half hours walking on the Moon during this historic first landing, while Michael Collins remained in orbit in the command module Columbia.
