QuickBooks Online supports one company per paid subscription. You can manage multiple companies under the same login, but each company file needs its own subscription.

What that means

  • One QuickBooks Online account can be used to sign in to several company files.
  • Each company is billed separately.
  • You switch between companies after logging in, but they are still separate subscriptions.

Simple example

If you run three businesses, you typically need three QuickBooks Online subscriptions to cover all three company files.

Intuit’s support language still reflects this one-company-per-subscription setup for the regular QuickBooks Online plan.
