To turn off invites for everyone in Discord, go to Server Settings → Roles → @everyone → disable “Create Instant Invite.” Then check Server Settings → Invites and delete any active invite links, because old links can still work even after permissions change.

What to do

  1. Open your server and click the server name.
  2. Go to Server Settings.
  3. Open Roles and select @everyone.
  4. Turn off Create Instant Invite.
  5. Save the change.
  6. Go to Invites and revoke any existing invite links.

If it still doesn’t work

  • Check channel-level permissions, because a specific channel may still allow invites even if the server role is disabled.
  • Make sure no other role still has invite permissions enabled.
  • Reload Discord or try another device if the setting looks unchanged after saving, since some users report a display glitch.

Important note

You usually cannot stop all invites forever if other admins or roles still have permission to create them, so the clean fix is to remove the permission from @everyone and only grant it to trusted roles.
