Under Republic Act No. 9163, college students can choose from three components of the National Service Training Program (NSTP).

The 3 NSTP Components

1. Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)
2. Literacy Training Service (LTS)
3. Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS)

RA 9163 and its revised implementing rules expressly state that the NSTP “shall have the following components from which the students can choose from: ROTC, LTS, and CWTS.”
