Most Oculus/Meta Quest controllers use one AA battery per controller ; they are not built with a built-in rechargeable battery.

A small catch: many rechargeable AA batteries are **1.2V** instead of the **1.5V** of standard alkaline AAs, so the controller may show a lower battery reading even though they still function normally.

For the quickest replacement, open the battery cover, swap in a fresh AA, and make sure the polarity matches the markings.
