In the early game, the common move is to bring it to the device that accepts it rather than trying to use it like a normal inventory object.

What to try

  • Look for nearby hand slots, organic consoles, or puzzle stations.
  • Approach the hand-based mechanism and use the hand there.
  • If it seems stuck, backtrack a little and check for a nearby door, crank, or terminal that reacts to it.

A lot of Scorn puzzles are environmental, so the “what do I do with this hand?” answer is usually “find the matching biological interface” rather than “combine it with something else”.
