The burial site of Prophet Ismail is commonly referred to as Hijr Ismail or al-Hijr ; many people also call it the Hateem area beside the Kaaba.

There is some disagreement in the sources about whether his grave is definitely there. Some reports say it is believed to be under the Hijr, while others say this is not firmly proven.
