The red cap end on an Irrigreen cord appears to be the controller end, and it connects to the cable leading back to the Irrigreen Smart Controller. The other end connects onward to the next sprinkler/head in the daisy chain setup.

Connection

  • Red cap end: connect this to the wire coming from the controller side.
  • Other end: connect to the next sprinkler or head on the line if you are daisy chaining.

Practical note

The wiring guide for Irrigreen also shows that sprinkler cables are aligned by their connectors and then secured with the CableLok clamp system. If you are looking at a specific cord in a kit, the safest check is the printed label on the pigtail or connector, since Irrigreen’s instructions refer to a side labeled “Controller” for that connection.

Example

If you are wiring one sprinkler back to the control box, the red-capped end goes toward the controller cable, and the far end of the run goes to the sprinkler side or the next unit in sequence.
