Open Instagram and go to the post or reel you want to share, then tap the three dots and choose Edit. From there, tap Tag people and select Invite collaborator , search for the account, and send the invite; the other person has to accept before the post appears on both profiles.

For a new post

  1. Tap the plus icon and create your post or reel.
  2. On the final sharing screen, tap Tag people.
  3. Choose Invite collaborator.
  4. Search for the username, select it, then tap Done and share the post.

For an already posted post

  1. Open the post on your profile.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right.
  3. Tap Edit.
  4. Go to Tag people , then Invite collaborator , pick the account, and save the changes.

Helpful notes

  • The invited account must accept the request before the collaboration shows publicly.
  • Some tutorials also note that if you do not see the option, updating the app or using the correct account type may help.
